Creative, honest and open, I am driven by a passion to be curious about life, the dynamics of systems, and people.I started my career working in a youth mental health wing of a hospital. From there I went into inpatient addiction treatment in an Indigenous centre in remote northern Alberta. Many hard and fast lessons, five years, and a promotion to Director later, I would consider myself a fierce advocate and ally still with so much to learn. In my time I have learned that the notion that we can separate mind, body and spirit, to treat them separately plagues our systems. All aspects of our being are connected, and you must treat trauma and addiction from that framework. By treating wellness from a whole person perspective, we might just stand a chance.
